Woodstock, GA – Rollover Accident with Injuries on I-575 Near Hwy 92
Woodstock, GA (December 12, 2021) – At 12:38 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, December 12, a rollover accident occurred on a highway in Woodstock.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-575 around the area of Highway 92. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons, causing one of the vehicles to overturn. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims inside the rolled vehicle were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Due to the severity of the accident, all lanes of traffic were blocked for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene. Police urged those in the area to use Highway 5 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
