Winder, GA – Car Crash with Injuries at GA-316 & Kilcrease Rd
Winder, GA (January 7, 2022) – At 7:26 a.m. on the morning of Friday, January 7, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Winder.
Barrow County officials confirmed that the accident happened at the intersection of GA-316 and Kilcrease Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those with injuries. Two or more victims sustained injuries due to the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the intersection was blocked for some time. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
