Winder, GA – Car Accident at GA-136 & Carl-Bethlehem Rd Intersection
Winder, GA (August 23, 2021) – At 7 p.m. on the evening of Monday, August 23, a car accident with serious injuries occurred in Winder.
According to Barrow County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-316 and Carl-Bethlehem Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time, which led to delays in the area. Police urged those traveling through to use Highway 29 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
