Wildwood, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Entrapment and Injuries on I-24
Wildwood, GA (August 2, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a multi-vehicle collision that took place on a highway in Wildwood on Monday afternoon, August 1.
According to Dade County officials, the accident happened at 1:57 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-24 around the area of mile marker 1. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the area when they became involved in a chain-reaction collision due to reasons that are not fully known. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties were trapped inside their vehicles and had to be extricated by fire crews. The parties were then rushed to local hospitals for treatment of severe injuries.
