Wildwood, GA – Injuries Reported in Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-24
Wildwood, GA (July 24, 2022) – One or more parties were hurt in a multi-vehicle collision that happened on a highway in Wildwood at 6 p.m. on Sunday evening, July 24.
Dade County officials confirmed that the accident happened around 6 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-24 around the area of I-59. It was determined that several vehicles were traveling on the highway in the area when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons. The involved vehicles were badly damaged in the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
Dade County responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Multiple parties sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in all eastbound lanes of traffic for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
Wildwood officials continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
