Warner Robins, GA – One Killed in Fatal Car Accident on GA-247
Warner Robins, GA (January 19, 2023) – Around 6:40 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, January 17, one person was killed in a fatal car accident in Warner Robins.
According to Houston County officials, the accident happened on Highway 247 around the area of Elberta Road. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other, causing them to collide with one another. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person involved in the accident, who has since been identified as a 34-year-old local man, was rushed to Houston Medical Center with serious injuries. He was tragically pronounced deceased while there. It is not known if anyone else was hurt as a result of the accident.
The roadway was blocked in all lanes of traffic until the scene was cleared. This led to delays in the area.
