Waleska, GA – Car Accident at GA-140 & Garland Mtn Trl Intersection
Waleska, GA (July 3, 2021) – At 7:07 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, July 3, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Waleska.
According to Cherokee County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-140 and Garland Mountain Trail. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles forcefully collided, causing them to sustain severe damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time as police cleared the scene.
