Valdosta, GA (June 8, 2021) – At 3:30 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, June 8, a fatal crash took place at an intersection in Valdosta.

According to the Valdosta Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of East Hill Avenue and Mildred Street. Two vehicles collided with each other after entering the intersection at the same time.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver and two passengers were injured as a result of the traumatic crash. One of the passengers, identified as a 19-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The intersection was blocked for a period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
