Twin City, GA (June 5, 2021) – Around 9 p.m. on Tuesday night, a woman was killed in a fatal house fire in Twin City.

The house fire happened at an unidentified home on Twin City around the area of Swainsboro. When the Twin City Fire Department arrived at the scene, they discovered that the 762-foot home was completely engulfed in flames and smoke. When fire crews gained access to the home, they found a woman lying on the floor of the home.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene. The victim, identified as a 73-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries.

The area was blocked for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
