Tucker, GA – One Killed in Fatal Car Accident in EB Lanes of GA-78
Tucker, GA (January 11, 2022) – On Tuesday morning, January 11, one person was killed in a fatal car accident on a highway in Tucker.
DeKalb County officials confirmed that the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of GA-78 around the area of Mountain Industrial Boulevard. Several vehicles were traveling in the eastbound lanes when they collided due to reasons that are still under investigation. The vehicles involved in the accident were left with extensive damages as a result.
Numerous responders, including local paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries. It is not known if anyone was hurt as a result of the collision.
Due to the severity of the collision, all eastbound lanes of traffic were blocked around Mountain Industrial Boulevard until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
