Tucker, GA – Car Accident with Injuries on I-285 Near Lavista Rd
Tucker, GA (July 29, 2021) – At 12 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, July 29, a car accident happened on a highway in Tucker.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Lavista Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they became involved in a chain-reaction collision with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged due to the accident. The vehicles had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were injured in the accident and taken to the hospital for treatment. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
