Trion, GA – Injury Accident at US-27 & Penn Bridge Rd Intersection
Trion, GA (August 26, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a serious car accident that took place at an intersection in Trion on Thursday evening, August 25.
According to Chattooga County officials, the accident happened at 7:50 p.m. at the intersection of US-27 and Penn Bridge Road. Two vehicles, one of which was a red pickup truck, were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time. This caused the two vehicles to collide with each other. The red pickup truck was severely damaged on the passenger’s side.
Several emergency responders, including Trion paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties sustained injuries in the accident. The unidentified parties, who have not yet been identified, were rushed to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
