Toombs Co, GA – Man Struck & Killed in Motorcycle Accident on GA 56
Toombs Co, GA (July 18, 2021) – A motorcyclist is dead after a serious crash occurred in Toombs County on Saturday afternoon, July 17.
According to reports from the Georgia State Patrol, the crash happened at around 4:00 p.m. GSP says that the man, traveling on a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle, was traveling eastbound on Georgia Highway 56 when a 2006 GMC Sierra pickup pulled out of a private driveway in front of the motorcycle.
The driver of the Harley Davidson, identified only as a 40-year-old male, then struck the GMC Sierra on the driver’s side. He died at the scene as a result of the injuries he suffered in the crash.
It’s unclear if the driver of the SUV sustained injuries or if charges or citations are pending.
Police said the wreck remains under investigation at this time and anyone with information should contact the GSP or Toombs County Sheriff’s Office.
