Toccoa, GA – Man Injured in Motorcycle Accident on Big-A Rd
Toccoa, GA (May 3, 2021) – Around 4 p.m. on Friday, April 30, a man was injured in a serious motorcycle accident in Toccoa.
According to police, the accident happened on Big-A Road around the area of US-123. At the time, a 55-year-old man was driving his Honda motorcycle and attempted a left turn when he was struck by a southbound vehicle. He and his motorcycle when airborne due to the force of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The male motorcyclist was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
The 59-year-old driver of the Nissan was charged with a red light violation, causing serious injury by vehicle, and DUI.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
