Tennille, GA – One Killed in Fatal Car Accident on GA-24
Tennille, GA (October 18, 2021) – On Saturday, October 16, one person was killed in a fatal car accident on a roadway in Tennille.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on GA-24 around the area of the Jefferson County line. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was severely injured in the collision. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
