Swainsboro, GA – Car Accident at Scott Blvd & DeKalb Industrial Way
Swainsboro, GA (July 20, 2021) – At 8:08 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, July 20, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Swainsboro.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Scott Boulevard and DeKalb Industrial Way. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the collision were badly damaged due to the crash. One of the vehicles, a red sedan, was completely smashed on its front-end and had to be removed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
