Summerville, GA – Two-Vehicle Crash on GA-27 Leads to Injuries
Summerville, GA (September 12, 2021) – At 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, September 11, a two-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in Summerville.
According to Chattooga County officials, the accident happened on GA-27 in front of the local Bojangles. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
