Summerville, GA (December 21, 2021) – At 3:05 p.m. on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 21, a two-vehicle collision occurred in Summerville.

According to Chattooga County officials, the accident happened on GA-27 around the area of Little Caesar’s. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. Both of the vehicles went off the side of the road following the collision, sustaining severe damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
