Summerville, GA – Motorcycle Crash with Injuries on GA-48
Summerville, GA (November 1, 2021) – At 6:30 p.m. on the evening of Monday, November 1, a motorcycle crash with injuries occurred in Summerville.
According to Chattooga County officials, the accident happened on GA-48 around the area of the Georgia state line. A motorcyclist was traveling in the area when the rider was struck by a passenger vehicle in the area. The driver of the passenger vehicle allegedly remained at the scene of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, was seriously injured in the accident. Their condition is not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, a portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
