Stonecrest, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injuries in WB Lanes of I-20
Stonecrest, GA (July 22, 2021) – At 10:33 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, July 22, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in Stonecrest.
According to officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of exit 71, Panola Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time, which led to delays until police were able to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
