Stonecrest, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-20 Near Panola Rd
Stonecrest, GA (May 15, 2021) – At 4:23 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, May 15, a multi-vehicle crash took place on a highway in Stonecrest.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Panola Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to unknown reasons, which led to damages.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, all lanes of traffic were blocked for some time. This led to delays in the area. Police urged those traveling through to use Covington Highway as an alternate route.
The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
