Stonecrest, GA – Multi-Vehicle Accident on I-20 Near Panola Rd
Stonecrest, GA (July 24, 2021) – At 1:23 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, July 24, a serious multi-vehicle accident occurred in Stonecrest.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Panola Road. Police confirmed that the accident happened when two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to unknown reasons. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
The left lane of traffic was blocked for a period of time as police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
