Stonecrest, GA – Car Accident with Injuries on I-20 Near Panola Rd
Stonecrest, GA (June 14, 2021) – Before 9 a.m. on the morning of Monday, June 14, a car accident with injuries occurred in Stonecrest.
According to the DeKalb County Police Department, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Panola Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged as a result of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Several victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
One or more lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
