Stonecrest, GA – Car Accident on I-20 Near Turner Hill Rd
Stonecrest, GA (July 6, 2021) – At 5:03 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, July 6, a car accident with injuries occurred in Stonecrest.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Turner Hill Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the collision were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes for a period of time. Police urged those traveling in the area to use Covington Highway as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
