Stonecrest, GA – Car Accident on I-20 Near Turner Hill Rd
Stonecrest, GA (April 11, 2021) – At 7:58 p.m. on the evening of Friday, April 9, a car accident occurred on a highway in Stonecrest.
According to the DeKalb County Police Department, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Turner Hill Road. Multiple vehicles collided in the area, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Multiple lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Covington Highway as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
