Stonecrest, GA – Car Accident on I-20 Near Lithonia Industrial Blvd
Stonecrest, GA (July 5, 2021) – At 8:56 p.m. on the night of Sunday, July 4, a car accident with injuries occurred in Stonecrest.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Lithonia Industrial Boulevard. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
Two left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
