Stonecrest, GA – Car Accident on I-20 Near Evans Mill Rd Leads to Injuries
Stonecrest, GA (December 16, 2021) – At 12:36 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, December 16, a car accident occurred in Stonecrest.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Evans Mill Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with one another due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, one lane of traffic was blocked for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
