Stone Mtn, GA – Pedestrian Crash at Boggs Dr & N Stone Mtn Lithonia Rd
Stone Mountain, GA (May 19, 2021) – At 5:35 a.m. on Wednesday morning, May 19, a pedestrian crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Stone Mountain.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Boggs Drive and North Stone Mountain Lithonia Road. A pedestrian was walking in the area when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle that remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was seriously injured in the accident. They were hospitalized with various injuries.
Multiple lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time as police cleared the scene.
