Stone Mtn, GA – Injuries Reported in Truck Crash on I-285 at Memorial Dr
Stone Mountain, GA (December 18, 2021) – At 12:41 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, December 17, a truck crash with injuries occurred in Stone Mountain.
According to officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Memorial Drive. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it suddenly collided with one or more vehicles in the area due to unknown reasons. The accident was extensive and led to severe damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
