Stone Mtn, GA – Car Crash with Injuries at US-78 & Hugh Howell Rd
Stone Mountain, GA (January 5, 2022) – At 6:05 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, January 5, a car crash with injuries occurred in Stone Mountain.
According to the Stone Mountain Police, the accident happened at the intersection of US-78 and Hugh Howell Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. This caused the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
