Stone Mtn, GA – Car Accident on GA-78 Near Mtn Industrial Blvd
Stone Mtn, GA (August 29, 2021) – Before 9 p.m. on the night of Sunday, August 29, a serious car accident with injuries occurred in Stone Mountain.
According to DeKalb County Police, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of GA-78 around the area of Mountain Industrial Boulevard. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
The right lane of traffic was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
