Stone Mtn, GA – Car Accident at Walker Rd & Stone Mtn Lithonia Rd
Stone Mountain, GA (July 2, 2021) – At 5 a.m. on Friday morning, July 2, a car accident with injuries occurred in Stone Mountain.
According to the DeKalb County Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Walker Road and South Stone Mountain Lithonia Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time, which led to delays for some time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
