Stockbridge, GA – Five-Vehicle Collision with Injuries on I-75
Stockbridge, GA (January 6, 2022) – At 6:17 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, January 6, a five-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in Stockbridge.
According to Henry County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of exit 224, Hudson Bridge Road. Five vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly became involved in a chain-reaction collision with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were seriously injured as a result. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. This led to delays until police fully cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
