South Fulton, GA – Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Old National Hwy at Creel Rd
South Fulton, GA (July 18, 2021) – On Sunday morning, July 18, a woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver while she was outside of her home on Old National Highway in the South Fulton area.
Per reports from troopers with the Georgia State Patrol, the incident happened on Old National Highway near Creel Road around 9:00 a.m. At that time, a driver swerved outside of the lanes of the road, hitting the woman as she stood in her yard.
EMS units responded to the scene shortly thereafter, though they pronounced the woman deceased before she could be transported to an area medical center.
Police are still piecing together the events causing the crash and did not release information about the suspect driver or their vehicle description. Witnesses to the accident, including several members of the woman’s family, say the suspect driver fled the scene immediately and did not stop to check on the woman’s condition.
The investigation is ongoing, and further details have not been released.
