Snellville, GA – One Killed in Fatal Accident at Buford Hwy & Langford Rd
Snellville, GA (August 23, 2021) – Around 11:15 a.m. on the morning of Monday, August 23, a fatal accident occurred at an intersection in Snellville.
According to Gwinnett County Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Buford Highway and Langford Road. An SUV and a commercial work van were traveling in the area when they became involved in a multi-vehicle collision. The vehicles involved in the collision were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help. One person, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known if anyone else was injured in the collision.
Both directions of the highway were blocked in the area of the intersection for approximately three hours until police cleared the scene. The roadway was reopened around 8:40 a.m.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
