Smyrna, GA – Truck Accident with Injuries in NB Lanes of I-285
Smyrna, GA (July 21, 2021) – At 12:08 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 21, a serious truck accident with injuries took place in Smyrna.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-285 around the area of South Atlanta Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for some time until police cleared the scene. This led to delays for a period of time.
