Smyrna, GA – Tractor-Trailer Accident in NB Lanes of I-285 Leads to Injuries
Smyrna, GA (December 14, 2021) – At 10:49 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, December 14, a tractor-trailer accident occurred in Smyrna.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-285 around the area of South Cobb Drive. A tractor-trailer struck several sedans in the area due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
