Smyrna, GA – Rear-End Collision with Injuries on I-75 Leads to Injuries
Smyrna, GA (July 6, 2021) – At 11:02 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, July 6, a rear-end collision with injuries occurred in Smyrna.
According to officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of exit 260, Windy Hill Road. A black sedan was traveling in the area when it suddenly struck the rear of a white pickup truck due to reasons that are not yet known. This led to extensive damages and caused debris to be scattered all over the roadway.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Cobb Parkway for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
