Smyrna, GA – Man Dies in Bicycle Accident at Windy Hill Rd & Village Pkwy
Smyrna, GA (December 31, 2021) – On Thursday evening, December 30, a bicycle accident occurred on a roadway in Smyrna and left one person dead.
As per the initial information released by officers on the scene, the fatal incident took place on Windy Hill Road at Village Parkway. The driver of a passenger vehicle hit a bicyclist, identified only as a man in his 50s, in the intersection for undetermined reasons.
Several lanes in the area were shut down as crews worked at the scene, and drivers were asked to avoid the area.
Officials have not identified the driver at this time, and officers also haven’t said if any charges will be filed.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
