Smyrna, GA – Injuries Reported in Car Crash on I-285 Near S Cobb Dr
Smyrna, GA (January 3, 2022) – On Sunday morning, January 2, a car crash with injuries took place on a highway in Smyrna.
Cobb County officials confirmed that the accident happened at 6:54 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-285 around the area of South Cobb Drive, exit 15. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the collision were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders, including fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were in need of medical attention due to their injuries. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
One left lane of traffic was blocked in the area. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so that delays could end.
