Silver Creek, GA – Man Killed in Fatal Crash on GA-101 at Pleasant Valley Rd
Silver Creek, GA (November 28, 2021) – At 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, a man was killed in a fatal crash at an intersection in Silver Creek.
According to Floyd County Police, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-101 and Pleasant Valley Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person, identified as a 50-year-old man, was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. Two people in the second vehicle received injuries and were hospitalized as a result.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
