Senoia, GA – Man Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident in NB Lanes of GA-85
Senoia, GA (December 21, 2021) – On Monday evening, December 20, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred in Senoia.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened on GA-85 around the area of Al Roberts Road. A Volvo was traveling in the northbound lanes when the driver was unable to stop in time for a pedestrian who was crossing the street. The driver of the Volvo stopped at the scene immediately following the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help. The pedestrian, who was identified as an 82-year-old man, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries. Nobody else was injured in the accident.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
