Savannah, GA – Two Injured in Car Accident Involving Camper on Ogeechee Rd
Savannah, GA (December 14, 2021) – At 7 p.m. on the evening of Monday, December 13, a car accident occurred on a roadway in Savannah.
According to Chatham County Police, the accident happened on Ogeechee Road around the area of the Berwick Shopping Center. One vehicle was traveling in the area when it struck a camper and another passenger vehicle. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Two people sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The parties were hospitalized, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
