Savannah, GA – Three-Vehicle Collision at DeRenne Ave & Montgomery St
Savannah, GA (March 31, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a three-vehicle collision that took place at an intersection in Savannah on Wednesday morning, March 30.
According to Savannah Police, the accident happened around 2 a.m. at the intersection of DeRenne Avenue and Montgomery Street. Three vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly all entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles forcefully collided with each other, which led to heavy damage to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other Savannah responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Several people sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.
The area was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
