Savannah, GA – Pedestrian Accident at Largo Dr & Abercorn St
Savannah, GA (May 2, 2021) – At 9 p.m. on Saturday night, May 1, a pedestrian accident occurred at an intersection in Savannah.
According to the Savannah Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Largo Drive and Abercorn Street. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was crossing the intersection when they were struck by a passenger vehicle traveling in the area.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The unidentified pedestrian was taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their condition is not yet known.
Largo Drive was blocked in the area for some time until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
