Savannah, GA – Mayor Injured in Car Crash at Fahm St Intersection
Savannah, GA (July 21, 2021) – On Tuesday, July 20, the mayor of Savannah was injured in a car crash at an intersection in Savannah.
According to Savannah Police officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Fahm Street and Oglethorpe Avenue when two vehicles collided with each other. The vehicles allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
