Savannah, GA (October 25, 2021) – On Monday morning, October 25, an infant and others were injured in a serious home explosion in Savannah.

According to Savannah Police, the incident took place in a home on Pin Point Avenue. Fire crews arrived at the home to find that it was on fire and smoke was coming out of the roof of the home. It is believed that the explosion was caused by a propane tank that was sitting behind the house.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. A 4-month-old child inside the home was critically injured and rushed to the hospital. A 14-year-old and a 45-year-old were also seriously injured. A fourth victim, who has not yet been identified, received minor injuries.

Due to the severity of the incident, the area was blocked for an extended period of time. The explosion was so severe that it blew out the windows inside the home and shifted it from its foundation.
