Savannah, GA – Fatal Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Ogeechee Rd
Savannah, GA (November 24, 2021) – At 9:05 p.m. on the night of Tuesday, November 23, a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident occurred in Savannah.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened on Ogeechee Road. A yellow sports car was traveling in the area when the driver struck a pedestrian who was walking in the area. The driver of the vehicle immediately fled the scene without stopping.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police searched surveillance videos in the area to attempt to identify the driver responsible for the accident.
