Savannah, GA – Car Crash at Montgomery St & Oglethorpe Ave Leads to Injuries
Savannah, GA (August 6, 2021) – On Friday morning, August 6 at an unknown time, a car crash with injuries occurred at a Savannah intersection.
According to Savannah Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Montgomery Street and Oglethorpe Avenue. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the intersection was entirely blocked for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to avoid the intersection until the scene was cleared.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
