Savannah, GA (May 23, 2021) – On Saturday night, May 22, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Savannah.

According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of East Derenne Avenue and White Bluff Road. A passenger vehicle was traveling in the area when it collided with an ambulance for reasons that are not fully known.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the passenger vehicle was trapped and had to be rescued. They had to be rescued and were hospitalized with injuries. One person in the ambulance was also injured.

The roadway was blocked in the area for a short period of time as police cleared the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
